xkcd minicon?

So I was looking at one of my favorite xkcd comics the other day, and I couldn't help but notice that the date listed in the coordinates hadn't actually happened yet. Intrigued, I plugged the numbers in to Google Maps, and found that they appear to point to a baseball diamond outside of Boston.

So now I can't help but wonder. Am I the only person who has noticed this? I doubt it; xkcd is hugely popular with the geek crowd. And the author strikes me as the kind of person who might considering showing up just to see how many people decided to do the same.

As the comic says, wanting something doesn't make it real. But I know if I don't show up to see who else does, I'm going to be annoyed with myself forever. So I figure I'll take a drive out to Boston that weekend and see what's what. Anybody want to meet me there?

Hullo--on the offchance that you'll receive a comment here more readily than one on flickr, I was wondering if I could use a modified version of your photo of me and my ferret on the documentation for #xkcd's flyingferret (http://www.chiliahedron.com/ferret). The easiest ways to reach me are in that channel (#xkcd on irc.foonetic.net) or via email, relsqui@chiliahedron.com. Thanks!
